Save the Date: Red Barn Festival 2010

Summer is coming to a close and the Stanford Equestrian Team is gearing up for its 2010-2011 season. The first big event coming to the Red Barn is the team's annual fundraiser, the Red Barn Festival, on Sunday, October 10. Mark it in your calendars! The evening will showcase a fun pairs class, our traditional Student-Alumni Challenge, the $8,000 Stanford Invitational (a multi-phase team show jumping competition), as well as an evening of wine tasting and gourmet food.

This year's Festival celebrates another fantastic competitive season for the Stanford Equestrian Team. Your support through last year's Festival as well as incredible generosity throughout the season helped us have another banner season in 2009-2010. In this season's newsletter, read about the horses and people who create the unique atmosphere that has sustained generations of Stanford horsemen. One of these people was Ambassador Bill Lane, a lifelong horseman and supporter of the Team and Barn. His smile and big personality are missed in our barn aisle.

Stanford Equestrian

The Stanford Equestrian Team is located at Stanford's historic Red Barn. Our hunt seat side boasts eight consecutive years of team Regional Championships, Zone Championships, and top ten finishes at the IHSA National Championships, and most recently finished as the IHSA Reserve National Championship team in 2013. In the past seven seasons, the western contingent has earned four team Regional Championships and most recently produced the 2008 and 2010 National Reserve Champion AQHA High Point Rider. In only its second full season in 2013, the dressage team won the regional championship title for the Intercollegiate Dressage Association's Region U and made its first-ever trip to represent Stanford at the IDA National Finals.
