Nicoletta Heidegger and Emily Cohodes celebrate their top-two finishes in Open Flat

The Stanford hunt seat equitation team wrapped up its regular season this month with decisive wins at home. Its back-to-back wins over the February 5 to 6 weekend secured its sixth consecutive Regional Championship: Stanford earned 203 points throughout the season to best Reserve Champions Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo (141 points), UC Davis (133 points), UC Berkeley, Santa Clara, UC Santa Cruz, Sonoma State, UN Reno, and College of the Sequoias.

Standout performances over the weekend include Reserve High Point Rider accolades for junior Alison Smith and wins by Nicoletta Heidegger in Open Flat, Rachel Kolb in Intermediate Flat, Macey Sanchez in Novice Flat, Alyssa Baldocchi in Novice Flat, Andrew Dargie in Walk/Trot, and Jasmine Li in Walk/Trot.

Next up for the Cardinal are Regional Championships: on March 6th at the Red Barn, individual riders will contend for spots at Zone Championships.
