Stanford Dressage Finishes First Full Season as Regional Reserve Champions

Stanford Dressage finish the season at UC Davis

Stanford Dressage wrapped up its regular season this past weekend at UC Davis. Though this year was only Stanford Dressage's first full season competing in intercollegiate dressage, the team exhibited depth and talent to finish the regular season as Regional Reserve Champions. Highlight performances from the Sunday show included another win for sophomore Patrick Freeman, whose standout ride also gleaned him High Point Rider recognition for the day. Sophomores Sarah Crawford and Kristen Malinak added red ribbons to the team's string with solid performances at Introductory and First Level, respectively.

Stanford Equestrian

The Stanford Equestrian Team is located at Stanford's historic Red Barn. Our hunt seat side boasts eight consecutive years of team Regional Championships, Zone Championships, and top ten finishes at the IHSA National Championships, and most recently finished as the IHSA Reserve National Championship team in 2013. In the past seven seasons, the western contingent has earned four team Regional Championships and most recently produced the 2008 and 2010 National Reserve Champion AQHA High Point Rider. In only its second full season in 2013, the dressage team won the regional championship title for the Intercollegiate Dressage Association's Region U and made its first-ever trip to represent Stanford at the IDA National Finals.
