Over the weekend of February 11 and 12, Stanford Equestrian wrapped up another great year with its last pair of regular season horse shows, both hosted at Stanford's Red Barn. The two days culminated with the Cardinal taking home back-to-back wins, clinching Stanford's seventh consecutive regional championship. (Year-end scores: Stanford 238, Berkeley 164, Davis 160, Cal Poly 144, Sonoma 110, Santa Cruz 99, Santa Clara 98, Nevada 74, COS 24.)

The sum of individual accolades at the end of the season include Stanford riders qualifying for the postseason in every IHSA hunt seat division, including:

Senior Rachel Kolb, who has made two past appearances at the national finals, finished the year qualified for Intermediate Flat and Fences.

Seniors Justine Thomas and Maddy Sessions both qualified for the regional finals in Novice; Thomas is slated to compete for a spot at Zones in Fences, and Sessions in Flat.

Senior Erica Keenan went into her last-ever IHSA show only needing 2 points to qualify in Advanced Walk Trot Canter, but took the win on Saturday, handily securing her spot in the regional finals.
